Why did you join the company?
In my previous job, I worked in sales, but I was always helped by office staff and admired them.
I wanted to support people behind the scenes, and I also had a bookkeeping qualification so I wanted to be able to put it to good use, so I searched for companies that would hire people with no accounting experience and found our company.
When I attended an information session, I learned that Light Koki has the largest global market share in a niche industry, and I became interested in them.

What kind of work are you currently doing?
I process invoices in the accounting department.

8:30: Check email
9:00: Processing slips
11:00~12:00: Import/export document processing
14:00~: Online orders accepted
16:00~: Deposit processing
17:20~: Finishing remaining work such as processing invoices
8:30：メールチェック
9:00：伝票処理 11:00~12:00：輸出入書類処理
14:00~：インターネット発注の対応
16:00~：入金処理
17:20~：伝票処理など残った仕事の処理
Beginning of the month: Compiling sales and inspection slips; collecting slips from each department
End of the month: Preparations for the beginning of the month
March and September: Inventory

What do you find most rewarding about your work?
The sense of accomplishment I get from my work every day, such as when I check over 100 invoices in one go, or when I notice an error that no one else has noticed when invoices are circulated from each department, makes my job rewarding.

Are you proud of LIGHT Optical Works, Ltd.
As I'm in charge of accounting, I don't know as much about our products as other employees, but the large number of visitors I see every day shows that we have earned the trust of our customers.
We make intricate products that cannot be made with compromises, and I think the fact that we have continued to be trusted for 71 years is something to be proud of.
