Why did you join the company?
I am originally from Suwa District, and I became interested when I learned that there is a company in my local area that primarily does business with overseas customers.
As I researched further, I also found it fascinating to learn about rifle scopes—products I would not normally encounter in everyday life.
Because I found both the company and its products interesting, I decided that I wanted to join the company.

What kind of work are you currently doing?
I work in the Design Department, specializing in hardware design.

Please tell me your daily schedule.
8:30 – : Email check & Design progress report
9:00 – : Reviewing internal circulars & Patent information gathering
11:00 – : Handling inquiries
12:00 – : Product design
17:20 – : Leaving the office
Before exhibitions, we make various preparations according to the schedule.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?
I sometimes receive feedback saying that our products are excellent, or hear that they have been featured on customers’ websites.
Knowing how products I was involved in designing are being seen and appreciated around the world gives me a strong sense of fulfillment and motivation.

Are you proud of LIGHT Optical Works, Ltd.
The best aspect is the positive work environment.
There is a lot of interaction between supervisors and team members, but I can speak freely without feeling nervous.
In addition to my supervisors and senior colleagues in the Design Department, I have many opportunities to talk with employees from other departments. Everyone listens carefully to what I have to say, which allows me to communicate with confidence and peace of mind.
