Why did you join the company?
I have been interested in making things since childhood, enjoying activities such as building with blocks.
While job hunting, one of my teachers recommended this company to me, and I became interested when I learned that it manufactures rifle scopes—the same kind I had seen in video games.
I felt that this was a unique opportunity to do something I couldn’t experience elsewhere and that it would be enjoyable, which led me to decide to join the company.

What kind of work are you currently doing?
I work in the Materials Department, where I am responsible for procuring parts.

Please tell me your daily schedule.
8:30 AM~: Check emails, issue invoices
9:00 AM~: Adjust delivery dates, respond to quality issues, and handle changes to parts suppliers
5:20 PM~: Finish paperwork and other work that wasn't completed before the regular working hours
During busy periods, orders increase, but we handle them calmly as a team.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?
It is an environment where I am given the opportunity to take on challenges I am interested in, and the most rewarding moments are when those challenges lead to positive results and generate value for the company.

Are you proud of LIGHT Optical Works, Ltd.
It is a niche field with very few competitors in Japan, and because the company holds the No. 1 market share, it has the potential to aim for the top position in the world.
