Why did you join the company?
In my previous job, I worked for a company in a different industry, and when I decided to change jobs, I looked at a wide range of companies without limiting myself to a specific field.
Because I have always enjoyed manufacturing, I explored many companies involved in production, and during that process I learned that this company produces the rare and specialized product of rifle scopes and aims to be the best in the world.
Wanting to take part in that manufacturing challenge and contribute to it myself, I decided to join the company.

What kind of work are you currently doing?
In the Design Department, I am involved in new product planning, new product development, project management, and intellectual property management, including patent-related matters.

Please tell me your daily schedule.
8:30 – : Briefing with team members
9:00 – : Meetings & Conference calls
10:00 – 12:00 : Development planning, Prototyping progress review & Technical feasibility study
13:00 – 16:00 : Development planning, Prototyping progress review & Technical feasibility study
16:00 – : Meetings & Conference calls
17:20 – : End of work / Clocking out

What do you find most rewarding about your work?
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is receiving direct feedback from customers on what we have developed.
Knowing that our products are evaluated and well received in markets around the world gives me a strong sense of fulfillment.

Are you proud of LIGHT Optical Works, Ltd.
What I am proud of is that we produce products here in Suwa that are recognized by top shooters around the world.
