question
01
Why did you join the company?
I have a strong memory of a factory tour I went on in junior high school, and later I realized that the factory was Light Koki. As I researched the company further, I was drawn to the fact that it takes on the global market from my hometown of Suwa and is deeply committed to manufacturing everything in-house, from start to finish.
That dedication to craftsmanship is what led me to decide to join the company.
question
02
What kind of work are you currently doing?
I work in the rifle scope assembly department, where I am mainly responsible for production control.
I check parts schedules and make adjustments to ensure smooth production, coordinating people and processes so that products are completed and ready for shipment on time.
When issues or defects occur, I identify the root causes and work to prevent the same problems from happening again. At times, I also step into delayed processes myself to improve workflow and keep production moving smoothly on a daily basis.
question
03
Please tell me your daily schedule.
When I arrive at work, I first check to see if any parts are delayed and, if so, confirm the schedule for when they will arrive. After that, I talk to the person in charge of each process to hear about yesterday's progress and discuss today's schedule. After that, I enter the process and work while checking the work of temporary employees.
I feel reassured knowing that I am always working while checking the on-site situation together with my supervisors.
question
04
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
Upon arriving at work, I first check if there are any delayed parts. If any delays are found, I verify the scheduled arrival dates. After that, I speak with the supervisors of each process to review yesterday's progress and discuss today's schedule. For the rest of the day, I work on the production line while also supervising the work of the temporary staff.
